Manually Enable Miniplayer During Installation Process

Installing Videeo is a straight-forward process, but if you have pop-up blockers enabled for your browser, then you'll run into a bump during the process of installing Videeo's miniplayer. During this step, a pop-up appears, allowing you to save a change to your website settings. Pop-up blockers will prevent this pop-up from appearing.

No worries! In this article, we walk you through how to manually complete this one step so you can continue with your installation process.

Manually Enable the Videeo Miniplayer


Selecting Start Install in the Installation Requirements section should advance you to the Activate & Save Videeo Miniplay Settings section. A pop-up should launch. If it doesn't, follow the below steps:

  1. Select Online Store in the side menu of your Shopify dashboard.
  2. Locate your Theme section and select Customize on the right side of the page.
  3. Within your theme editor, select the App embeds icon on the far left side of the page.
  4. Locate the Videeo SDK Embed app and ensure the toggle is flipped to enabled.
  5. Select Save in the top-right corner of the page.

To return to the Videeo installation process, follow the below steps:

  1. Select the Exit icon in the top-left corner of your theme editor.
  2. Select Sales channels in the side menu of your Shopify dashboard.
  3. This should launch a drop-down from the top of the page. Select Videeo from the options listed.

You will see that the second step is now marked as complete. You can proceed to the final step and finish the Videeo installation process.
