Before You Get Started

Before you can create your mobile shopping app, you’ll need to ensure you’ve created, requested, or completed the following tasks:

  • Confirm you are an LLC. You can only apply for a DUNS number and create an iOS app if you are an LLC.
  • Request a DUNS number. Apply for or look up your DUNS number here. Note: It can take up to 30 days to receive a DUNS number, so you’ll want to complete this task as soon as possible.
  • Create a domain and branded email address. You will need a dedicated domain and email address (e.g., shopmystore.com and info@shopmystore.com) to create an Apple Developer account.
  • Create an Apple ID for your business. You will need an Apple ID for your business address (e.g., info@shopmystore.com) to create your Apple Developer account. You cannot use a personal email address from Gmail, Yahoo, etc. Create your business Apple ID here.
  • Create an Apple Developer Account. Once you have your DUNS number, you can create your Apple Developer Account. This allows you to create an app for the Apple App Store. We walk you through this process here.
  • Products and collection published to Videeo sales channel. You will be prompted to select a featured collection of products to populate for the app design process. In order to do so, you’ll need to ensure you have both published products and the collection to your Videeo sales channel. We walk you through that process here.

Step 1: Complete Your iOS Checklist

The first section to complete is your iOS checklist. These are components required by Apple to have your mobile app available in the Apple App Store.

As you complete each item, select the checkbox to the left of it. Doing so will assign a timestamp for the item on the far right of the page.
