Add Links From Your Shopify Navigation to Your Mobile App

Improve navigation and create a seamless shopping experience by adding links from your Shopify store to your mobile app. This feature helps unify your web and app platforms, making it easier for customers to explore your products.

By linking your Shopify navigation to your mobile app, you can direct users to specific collections, product categories, or important pages, enhancing visibility and boosting engagement across your mobile shopping experience.

Step 1: Create a Custom Menu


  1. Navigate to your Shopify dashboard.
  2. Select Online Store under Sales Channels from the side menu and then select Navigation.
  3. Select Add Menu from the Menus section.
  4. Customize the menu.
    • Title. Enter a name for the menu.
    • Menu Items. Select + Add Menu Items and add your desired menu item. You can add multiple items to your menu. 
      • Note that the app does not support dropdowns and will not display any nested items. Ensure that all menu items are listed individually to provide the best user experience for your customers.
      • Ensure that the menu you create is an actual URL. Using only pages selected from Shopify's dropdown (without entering the URL) will prevent the links from displaying in the app.
      • To ensure links display correctly, copy and paste the full URL for each custom link you want to appear in the app. For example, instead of selecting Shipping & Returns from the Shopify dropdown, manually enter the full URL like https://yourshop.com/pages/shipping-returns.
  5. Copy the Menu Handle on the right side of the page.
  6. Select Save Menu in the bottom-right corner.

Step 2: Add the Link to Your Mobile App


  1. Select Videeo: Mobile Commerce under Sales Channels from the side menu and then select Mobile App Builder.
  2. Select the Custom Menu tab from the options available at the top of the page.
  3. Paste the copied Menu Handle under the Add Extra Link field. 
  4. Select Save at the top.

That's it! Your additional or customized links, along with the default ones (such as privacy policy, refund policy, etc.), will now appear in the Links section under Account > Settings in the mobile app, giving customers easy access to important information.

Note: At this time, links set up solely as Shopify page selections (without URLs) will not be recognized. This workaround is required until further updates are made.
